A ordem de Lula é para suspender todos os contratos envolvendo empresas israelenses nas Forças Armadas. A postura antissemita é também negacionista, pois Israel é importante parceiro de programas estratégicos das Forças Armadas e a interrupção desses programas compromete a própria defesa nacional e a soberania.
Além dos obuseiros já relatados pela imprensa, o Exército terá de cancelar a compra de loitering munition (drones kamikazes), realizada pela comissão de compras em Washington (CEBW), e deve suspender o envio para as Filipinas de veículos Guarani da Iveco, equipados com torres da Elbit.
A Força Aérea, por sua vez, poderá ficar sem o Gripen NG, que, embora seja produzido pela sueca Saab, possui computadores, softwares, equipamentos e serviços de integração e apoio logístico da AEL Sistemas, subsidiária da israelense Elbit, incluído o capacete HMD, com mira montada, fundamental para a consciência situacional dos pilotos em voo. Na cúpula da FAB, há quem defenda a troca dos jatos modernos por outros mais antigos, sem essa tecnologia.
Além do prejuízo com os atuais contratos, a postura irresponsável do governo Lula impedirá que o Brasil produza e exporte o Gripen para a América Latina, atrasando o desenvolvimento da própria indústria aeronáutica brasileira e inviabilizando bilhões em negócios. Até a manutenção dos Super Tucanos, F-5M e AMX também será afetada.
No caso da Marinha, projetos estratégicos vão subir no telhado, como o Sterna (sistema múltiplo de comunicação), o SIC3MB (sistema de comando e controle), o RDS Defesa (rede de interoperabilidade entre as forças) e a modernização dos AF-1 Skyhawk, entre outros.
Paralisar programas em curso e tentar substituí-los por outros, além do custo financeiro, pode levar anos, sendo improvável soluções emergenciais até o fim de 2026, quando encerra o mandato de Lula. Em defesa, não se improvisa.
Lula jeopardizes national defense by suspending contracts with Israel

Lula’s order is to suspend all contracts involving Israeli companies in the Armed Forces. The anti-Semitic stance is also denialist, since Israel is an important partner in strategic programs of the Brazilian Armed Forces and the interruption of these programs jeopardizes national defense and sovereignty.
In addition to the howitzers (ATMOS) already reported by the press, the Army will have to cancel the purchase of loitering munitions (kamikaze drones), carried out by the purchasing commission in Washington (CEBW), and must suspend the shipment to the Philippines of Iveco Guarani armored vehicles, equipped with Elbit turrets.
The Brazilian Air Air Force, in turn, may be left without the new fighter Gripen NG, which, although produced by the Swedish Saab, has computers, software, equipment and integration and logistical support services from AEL Sistemas, a subsidiary of the Israeli Elbit, including the HMD helmet, with mounted sight, essential for the situational awareness of pilots in flight. At the top of the FAB, there are those who advocate replacing modern jets with older ones, without this technology.
In addition to the losses with current contracts, the irresponsible stance of the Lula government will prevent Brazil from producing and exporting the Gripen to Latin America, delaying the development of the Brazilian aeronautical industry itself and making billions in business unfeasible.
Even the maintenance of the aircafts Super Tucanos, F-5EM/FM and AMX will also be affected. In the case of the Navy, strategic projects will be hit by the roof, such as the Sterna (multiple communication system), the SIC3MB (command and control system), the RDS Defesa (interoperability network between forces) and the modernization of the AF-1 Skyhawk, among others. In addition to the financial cost, halting ongoing programs and trying to replace them with others could take years, and emergency solutions are unlikely until the end of 2026, when Lula’s term ends. In defense, there is no improvisation.
