FT Sistemas S.A., a pioneer in the unmanned aerial systems business in Brazil, will be present at LAAD Defense & Security 2015 in V.60 booth. The company, based in Sao Jose dos Campos, is completing 10 years of experience in the Defense and Aerospace market, developing technological solutions for dual use.
Founded as a incubated company at the Brazilian Air Force Aerospace Technological Center, the company is responsible for the main Brazilian defense projects in the field of unmanned aerial systems, including the Ministry of Defense Projeto VANT and the Brazilian Army VANT VT-15. When we unveiled our first product in LAAD 2007, we were the only Brazilian company presenting unmanned systems at the show. At that time, we started shaping Brazilian market. Today, our products are equipping Brazilian and foreign armed forces. We clearly see a future that guarantees us maintain this leadership."
The company has grown since its foundation, in 2005, and, in 2015, it is expected
that sales will grow again around 30%. The company will consolidate its leadership position in the Brazilian light tactical unmanned aerial systems market, with the strengthening of programs in the defense sector as well as from the expansion to the dual market, as with the inclusion of its products in the civilian sector. Company also seeks the increase of its external operations, with the increase of its exports started in 2014.
FT Sistemas S.A. has already established products such as the Horus FT-100 Horus, the mini-UAV approved as Strategic Defense Product by the Brazilian Defense Ministry, and the FT-200 VT-15, the tactical UAV developed in partnership with the Brazilian Army. In addition, the company continually invests in research and development and is currently working on the design of its new generation products, which shall include, in the future, high performance micro unmanned aerial systems and vertical takeoff and landing capable systems for dual use.
