CONTROP Reports Sales of EO/IR Maritime Camera Payloads to Several NATO Countries

CONTROP Precision Technologies Ltd. – a company specializing in the field of electro-optics (EO) and infrared (IR) defense and homeland security solutions – announces the recent sales of its iSea-10U EO/IR Maritime system to Special Maritime Forces of several NATO countries for installations on Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) and Fast Patrol Boats.

According to CONTROP's VP Marketing Mr. Johnny Carni: "We are extremely proud to share the success of our maritime line of systems. Following several rounds of trials, the iSea-10U was proven to be the most suitable EO/IR solution for USVs due to its outstanding gyro-stabilization, reliable performance, light weight and its very cost effective low price.

The iSea-10U opens up new opportunities for maritime customers operating small boats, due to the fact that it is a Navy grade high quality product which is being offered at a commercial price, making it ideal for both naval and coastguard applications.”

The iSea-10U is a gyro-stabilized three (3) gimbal small maritime payload, which provides a remarkably stable image from fast Patrol Boats and Rigid-Hulled Inflatable Boats (RHIBs) and can detect small boats (1x3m) at approximately 1 NM.

The high performance payload includes an uncooled thermal imaging camera with continuous optical zoom lens. The iSea-10U is operated with CONTROP's proprietary Electronics Box, which includes a Video Tracker as well as Video Enhancement algorithms and a Picture-in-Picture feature, characteristics that are normally featured only on larger payloads.

Carni adds: "the recently procured iSea-10U payloads are technologically unique due to their unusual combination of three (3) gimbals with gyro-stabilization in a small payload which is suitable for small boats in rough maritime conditions.

Therefore, the iSea-10U customers are getting very clear pictures from a high performance and user-friendly system for a relatively low price. We foresee a bright future for this unique small maritime payload and we already have additional customers showing great interest as well".
